ManageIQ Community Sprints - Now with Trello

If you’ve been participating in our sprint reports, you’ve no doubt found them to be an excellent way to stay apprised of feature progress in ManageIQ. I’m happy to announce that our community activities are now part of the 3-week sprints and included in the sprint reports.

UI login button fails after git pull

If you run git pull on your ManageIQ appliance to pull down updates, restart and find that you can’t login in the web UI as the buttons are unresponsive, it’s likely you’re running in production mode, some assets were added or changed and haven’t been precompiled.

ManageIQ BoF at Red Hat Summit - June 25

I’m happy to report that we will be having a birds-of-a-feather meetup (aka “BoF”) at Red Hat Summit on Thursday, June 25 at 4pm EDT. A BoF is an informal gathering of people who come together to discuss a particular topic, in this case ManageIQ. We would like to use this opportunity to share some of the community highlights from the previous year, as well as discuss the upcoming roadmap and Capablanca release cycle.

ManageIQ Botvinnik is Here - Control All the Things

We’re very happy to announce that ManageIQ Botvinnik is now generally available. This marks the first full release cycle for ManageIQ as an open source project. As mentioned in previous announcements, we name our releases alphabetically after chess world champions. For the “B” release, we selected Mikhail Botvinnik, a Soviet chess champion from the 1950’s. The “C” release cycle is named after Jose Raul Capablanca, a Cuban world chess champion from 1921-1927.

Announcing Capablanca RC-1

We’re pleased to announce that the first Capablanca release candidate is now available. Among the improvements in this release since the Beta:

We’ve just wrapped up Capablanca RC2. As the release cycle draws to a close, this release contains bug fixes, numerous UI tweaks, and a couple of last-minute changes to the new Azure provider.
